Waffen-SS M38 ‘Palm’ Camouflage Smock

Description

Waffen-SS M38 ‘Palm’ Camouflage Smock (Tarnjacke), modified to M40 pattern. The smock is showing a printed, reversible, Palm camouflage pattern (Palmenmuster). The camouflage pattern has distinctly different colorations to the summer and autumn sides. The smock is closed by a replaced cloth closure tie string. The smock has been modified to the M40 pattern, the elastic from the neck has been removed, and the wind flap has been removed. The elastic around the waistline is missing, the tunnel looped elastics at each cuff are in perfect condition. The smock is having some small damages and repairs caused by usage. The smock has no visible manufacturer’s or size markings. The smocks were designed large enough to fit over the standard field uniform, so it will fit a mannequin easily. This will make a great Holland 1940 display. Rare original early Waffen-SS smock in good used condition!
