Description

Hard to find grass green enlisted early war constructed visor cap for a Gebirgsjäger (mountain trooper). Complete with it’s original insignia on the front of the cap, including the rare Edelweiss badge. The cap is light worn and shows no major damages or moth holes. The sweat diamond inside is gone but the grey liner and visor brim, combined with the smooth black velvet band on the edge of the sweatband are typical for the manufacturer “Peküro”. Visor shows some period reinforments. Size marked 55 on the reverse of the sweat band. Original orange ‘sweat sponge’ is still present. Original GJ visors are extremely hard to find, this is only the second enlisted example I was able to offer for sale!
