Description
Textbook M40 KM helmet still show clear traces of a gold ET-pattern eagle decal on the left side. The lot number falls perfectly within a Kriegsmarine production (see detail attached). Decal was painted over during the camouflage process, being a three tone camo in Normandy colors (tan/green/brown). Typical for these decals, is that is flaked off, together with the camo paint applied on the top of it. Most of the thick camouflage paint has also been worn off. Complete with original liner, has some dry parts. Split pins remain untouched. Shell markings ET64 – 1271. Named as well to Pfetzing. A very rare and seldom seen helmet!
