Description
Here is a nice untouched M35 Luftwaffe steel helmet in great condition. Double decal example with both decals still firmly present, showing nice details. Helmet is complete with original 1938 dated liner. Draw string and chin strap present. Chin strap has a period repair, and is a classic chocolate brown Luftwaffe example, maker marked and dated 1938. It’s also unit marked to the Fliegerschule Hildesheim, just as the steel helmet itself (next to the dome stamp) and the liner on the reverse. All matching parts, all unit marked to the same Flight School! As mentioned before, the dome stamp is also present, dated 1938 just as the strap and liner. Split pins are unmessed with. Leather is in great shape, supple and strong for its age. Beautiful Untouched M35 untouched Luftwaffe double decal helmet marked NS64 indicating production by Vereinigte Deutsche Nikelwerke, Schwerte. The helmet is a time capsule, typical early example with numerous unit markings to the Fliegerschule Hildesheim. The helmet is untouched, uncleaned and would be hard to upgrade. Shell markings NS64 – D122. Also shows a name and rank written in pencil.
