Description
Stunning early constructed light worn M40 pattern army steel helmet. Single decal example with the eagle rating over 90{a52560972f1953da7ff751a390e034482bc0fffc7709a17c21112ddb4e063ced} still showing nice details. This is an early produced M40 helmet that still had the glossy pea-green M35 pattern paint. The soldier of this helmet camouflaged his lid by applying rough green paint with a brush over the exterior and interior rim. Paint strokes are still visible on the liner band ring. Complete with beautiful original liner, draw string and original chin strap (period shortened). Maker marked shell by SE, size 64. Lot number covered in camo paint. A very nice and untouched early M40 army helmet – so hard to find in this condition!
