Description
M42 chicken wire helmet. Helmet originated from USA. The helmet is a standard late war no decal helmet, made by ckl, that could serve for any Wehrmacht or Waffen-SS display. An original chicken wire ‘half basket-style’ was added on top. The wire shows nice corosion and wear to the shell. Liner is dry but complete with draw string. Some sort of civil or other armies chin strap was present on the helmet when we obtained it, maybe changed in the war by the soldier himself. Shell markings ckl64, lot number 3734. Beautiful combat wire helmet!
