Description
Very rare and seldom seen Luftschutz helmet being a commercial produced M18-style helmet in the early 1930’s. Coated in blue/green paint and complete with decal up front. The original vent holes sit in place. Liner itself is missing but liner band is still present. A very rare configuration. These helmets were recently discovered in Germany, during a clean up of a city hall attic. About 100 pieces were found, all heavy covered in dust. I got my hands on the best preserved examples, still having the decals intact. This must have been a town that bought these helmets for its local Luftschutz instead of the well known Gladiator and/or beaded steel helmets we often see. The helmet is still covered in dust and will clean up nicely if you want. A unique chance to buy a very rare Luftschutz type helmet! A picture is added from when the helmets were found.
