Description
Offering an unique and ultra rare helmet. This WW1 M17 Austrian helmet was reissued for the German army in apple green color with double decals in the beginning of the Third Reich ca. 1933-34. The helmet was then reissued again for the Bahnschutzpolizei by applying black paint on the helmet and add new Army-style decals (made by Pocher) on top. The previous army decals are still ghosting under the existing ones. Black painted helmets with decals were issued by the Bahnschutzpolizei, The Bahnschutzpolizei was tasked with railway safety and also with preventing espionage and sabotage of railway property. The helmet is complete with the original issued WW1-style liner and 1939 dated chin strap. This is an unique opportunity to own one of the rarest helmets of the Third Reich!
