Description
This is an excellent original example of a British manufactured ‘Helmet, Steel, Royal Armoured Corps Mark II’, or HSRAC Mk.II as it is sometimes called by collectors, manufactured by Briggs Motor Bodies (BMB) Ltd in 1943. The helmet is still fitted with its original helmet liner and chinstrap. The exterior is still covered in the typical brownish paint used on British vehicles. Designed for crews of Armoured Fighting Vehicles these are seen in period photographs of the Normandy fighting & beyond.
